Our mission is to provide safe and reliable transport on the Danube, as well as ensure the safe and efficient loading and unloading of river barges in our terminal facilities. Through consistent cooperation with our suppliers and our clients, we strive to continuously progress and maintain the highest European industry standards. BEO TRADE COM- LORATEL HOLDINGS Group concerns itself with the continuous improvement of its service quality, protecting the natural environment and ensuring a safe and healthy work environment. MULTIMODAL LOGISTICS
We are one of the few companies in the European market that does multimodal transport of petrochemical goods, namely combined rail, transshipment and river transport. To achieve this, we maintain working relationships with public and private rail operators in Romania, striving always to offer the highest level of efficiency. The transported product is loaded into or out of our river barges. The transshipment takes place in our privately owned terminal station with the help of our skilled personnel and logistics experts.
At the request of our clients, we also offer these services separately.
RIVER TRANSPORT
Loratel Holdings was first established in 1996. Initially, the company carried out trading activities with chemical and petrochemical products. After many years of experience, at the request of our clients and in an attempt to outperform our competitors, Loratel Holdings extended its portofolio to transport services of these products, from the refinery all the way to the final destination. In 2005, the company Beo Trade Com was born, to cater to the growing demands of our clients in Romania. Fast- forward to today, BEO TRADE COM owns and operates several self-propelled tankers and two tank barges. Our operations extend along the Danube River, from Constanța port to Vienna. Our ships call on multiple ports in Romania, Serbia, Hungary, Slovakia and Austria, and have reached the Rotterdam port in the past, passing through the Main and Rhein River.
RAIL TRANSPORT
Rail transport is a very important part of our Multimodal logistical chain. It ensures higher flexibility that allows us to overcome complicated and multifaceted challenges. To meet our client’s needs, we have developed strong relationships with the suppliers of railway services in Romania. All the above would not be possible without our personnel’s expertise. We employ experts in the field to ensure that our operations are carried out according to the highest standards of rail safety and sustainability, with a special focus on environmental protection.
TRANSHIPMENT
In the heart of our Multimodal logistics is the transshipment of petrochemical products from rail wagons to our barges or vice versa. The loading/unloading systems (between the concrete ramp that holds the rail wagons and the mooring pontoon for river vessels) of petrol products, are sealed in order to create safe conditions during the operations and minimize gas emissions. To this end, we have equipped our terminal with a Vapor Recovery Unit, that effectively treats gas streams containing hydrocarbons in order to meet the required emission limits. In addition to safety and environmental protection, we also ensure efficiency. We guarantee that any losses between the quantity loaded in the refinery and the quantity unloaded at the final destination are limited to 0.25%.
RAIL PORT OPERATOR
Drobeta Turnu Severin is an industrial town, in the south-west part of Romania on the shores of the Danube River. This is where our terminal station is located. Within the local industrial port, only 20km away from the Danube Iron Gates, BEO TRADE COM is the sole operator of rail cars for transshipment purposes of petrochemical products. This is another step that separates us from the competition and allows us to grow strong roots in the Romanian and European sector of inland waterways transport services.
TERMINAL STATION
Our petrol terminal in Drobeta Turnu Severin has a transshipment capacity of 3,000 tons/day and holds a conformity certificate issued by the Romanian Naval Authority. Within the terminal, a ramp was built for the process of loading and unloading goods from the rail wagons into the vessels. All facilities have protection systems to avoid the emission and spread of vapors and the subsequent pollution of the surrounding environment. The decanting pumps are connected to automated security systems, to minimize the pollution in case of any dysfunction.
BUNKER SERVICES
At km 931 + 800 on the Danube River, Beo Trade Com, also, operates a fuel supply station for river vessels open 24/7. The company offers the best quality marine diesel as well as drinking water supply, oils, greases, ropes and other accessories for ships. Our bunker station, CHRISTINA, is a repurposed motor tanker. It has been operational since 2019 and is servicing any kind of inland vessels traveling the Danube upstream or downstream.
HSSE
Beo Trade Com values foremost Health and Safety in the workplace and the protection of environmental resources surrounding our operations, namely the Danube River and its biosphere. Our goal is to comply with all relevant legal requirements, customer demands, as well as to uphold the industry’s best practices. With this goal in mind our HSSE dept develops and updates our internal HSSE Policies and Code of Ethics. The implementation of such policies is reflected in our multi-year record of zero incidents and minimal environmental impact.

They are a leading authority on safety for the global marine industry. They strive to promote safe and environmentally responsible transportation of petrochemical and oil products. Our vessels pass this strenuous certification process annually to meet our clients’ standards and prove our commitment to the industry safety guidelines.

All aspects of our operations are audited annually against the highest standards in Quality, Environmental, and Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems. We are currently certified with ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015 and 45001:2018. These accreditations are crucial for maintaining our place in the industry. We strive to continually develop and improve our integrated management system, as part of our effort to grow and get better every year.
